Yoga for Children

At Pride & Joy Preschool, yoga is practiced every day. Yoga is a unique health practice that teaches the importance of understanding body awareness, deep healthful breathing, learning what the body can do, and how far it can strengthen and stretch. Yoga teaches flexibility of the mind and body, and it also helps children's coordination skills and balance as it prevents injury during other physical activities.

The fun part of this activity, a big hit, involves learning a variety of yoga poses by imitating animals or objects in the environment. Our objective is to help children develop strong minds and bodies, give them giggles and laughs to lighten up any tension they may have, and brighten up their little spirits as we help them to enjoy more our beautiful surroundings with peace and harmony. Yoga is fun!
